Position Assistant Director, UK Business Development

Summary
We are looking for a commercially driven and energetic individual to drive business development in the UK. This is a senior level role, part of the Institute’s Executive Team and reporting to the Director of Global Business Development.

Description
Based in our London office, you will be:-
  • Maintaining relationships with existing clients and corporate supporters
  • Driving new business development across the UK financial services sector
  • Managing the team on a day to day basis to meet agreed sales targets
  • Accurately reporting and forecasting through the CRM system (MS Dynamics)
  • Spotting opportunities for cross-selling across the CISI’s product range
  • Working with the CISI marketing and client service teams to source new leads
  • Providing valuable market intelligence to the CISI Executive Team
  • Managing relationships with the CISI’s regional branch network
  • Working closely with the Education team to promote CISI qualifications in universities, schools and colleges

    The ideal candidate will possess:-

  • A proven track record of delivering sales objectives
  • A strong customer service ethic
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills
  • Initiative and a proactive disposition - this is a hands-on role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - face to face, on the phone and by email
  • Energy and drive with a passion for new business development
  • The gravitas to build and maintain relationships with senior level executives
  • Experience of working within the UK financial services sector
  • Experience of using Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar CRM platform
    We offer a competitive remuneration package, which includes:
  • 7½% company contribution into a personal pension, in addition to your own contribution of 1½% via salary exchange

    Salary c. £63k pa depending on experience

  • Plus £7.5% company pension contribution
  • And after one year, we pay for your season ticket
  • (Worth between £1,384pa and £3,755pa)

  • Life insurance and income protection insurance
  • A sports club subsidy
  • 28 days’ leave per annum (which includes three days at Christmas)
  • After one year’s service, private medical insurance cover, annual travel
  • insurance cover and a paid annual travel ticket, which is worth between £1,384pa and £3,755pa depending on where you live and the cost of your ticket
